Joey Logano, driver of the No. 20 Toyota Camry, led the three-car Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) contingent by winning Sunday’s rain-shortened Lenox Industrial Tools 301 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.

It was the rookie driver’s first Sprint Cup victory, and he became the youngest winner in series history at 19 years, one month and four days.

His JGR teammates, Kyle Busch in the No. 18 Toyota Camry and Denny Hamlin in the No. 11 Toyota Camry, finished seventh and 15th, respectively.

Four-time Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon finished second behind Logano as the race was called after only 273 laps – 28 short of the scheduled distance.

Finishing third was Kurt Busch, while David Reutimann and former JGR driver Tony Stewart rounded out the top-five. Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Sam Hornish Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne comprised the remainder of the top-10.

There were 11 caution periods for 47 laps, with nine drivers failing to finish the race.

With 17 of 36 races in the books, Hamlin leads the JGR trio in the championship point standings, as his 15th-place finish bumped him up one spot to sixth in points. He has 2,132 points and is 392 markers behind series leader Stewart. Busch gained one spot to climb to eighth in the standings with 2,108 points, 416 points arrears Stewart. Logano gained three spots and now sits in 21st. He has 1,741 points and is 783 points back of the lead.

The next event on the Sprint Cup schedule is the July 4 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. The race begins at 8 p.m. EDT with live coverage provided by TNT beginning with its pre-race show at 7:30 p.m.
